Greater Boston Federal Executive Board (BostonFEB)
President Kennedy created Federal Executive Boards (FEBs) in 1961 as a means to foster communication and collaboration among Federal agencies at the field and regional levels; More than 85% of the Federal workforce works outside of the National Capital Region and much program and policy implementation happens at the field level, FEBs facilitate efficiency and effectiveness among local agencies.
Approximately 230 Federal Departments and Agencies maintain a presence in the Greater Boston area with a workforce of upwards of 60,00 Federal employees located in New England.
